Description
Title: | “The Bus Leaves in 5 Minutes” was inspired by my visit to the Terry Bison Ranch in Wyoming — a place I absolutely love. It’s not just the bison that roam there, but also free-range chickens, turkeys, peacocks, and even a few kitties! As an animal lover, it’s like stepping into a little slice of paradise.
The title comes from a quirky detail I couldn’t resist painting — the chickens’ roost was in an old school bus. It felt like they were just waiting for their next adventure! This piece is what I call “Abstract Realism” — the chickens are carefully detailed, while the background stays loose and expressive. Funny enough, both styles took about the same amount of time! I used a watery mix of acrylic paint, along with salt, rubbing alcohol, stencils, and, of course, plenty of paint splattering for added texture. It’s bold, colorful, and definitely a conversation starter. Let me know if it brings a bit of that free-spirited ranch magic into your home!“ |
