Title: | “Deer in the Snow” |
Description: | “Deer in the Snow was inspired by my journey of learning and experimenting with loose painting techniques. It was quite a process—starting with watery color washes, letting the piece almost design itself, then allowing the gray paint to drip down before flipping the canvas upside down to form the trees. Then came the paint splatters, which you’ll see often in my work. They add texture and a raw, organic feel to the painting.
As for the deer, he naturally found his place in the lower left, tucked near the trees—just like in nature, where deer stay close to shelter for protection. What doesn’t quite show in the photos is the subtle shimmer—some of the snow and background specks are highlighted with silver, adding a delicate but striking accent in person.“ |
