My name is Lisa Jarratt, or to my grandson, Mimi. I’m a graphic artist, photographer. While reviving my fine art background after many years in watercolor, I starting really understanding that backgrounds were many times just a beautiful wash of all different colors, or even just one! I thought, what if my grandson (who is 2 1/2 years old) and I did a painting together for his mom & dad’s birthday coming up. I would have him do a watercolor on paper and later, I would fill in the drawing. Below is the FIRST watercolor together! I used tape to mask off the white spots then.
I have made a lot of improvements and added other pictures. I can’t wait for you to have your child do their masterpiece! I will give you step by step instructions and a few hints to help you child’s participation if they are a little hesitant in doing it. Don’t worry if everything doesn’t go perfect or your child wants to use just brown! It is meant to be fun expression of what they want to put on the paper. Anyone would love this treasure as a present or love seeing it hanging in your own home. Below are some more more recent images that I have added to the menu. Each kit comes with watercolor paint, pre-blue liquid masked designs on acid-free watercolor paper, sponge brush, non-stick masking tape, and instructions along with my contact information, just in case you run into any problems or have questions. Each kit costs $50 plus shipping. Shipping has been running about $8 in the lower USA.
Make no mistake, these images are FRAME-WORTHY and can be given as gifts to Grandma & Grandpa, Aunts & Uncles, or hung up in your house to be displayed forever! These are never printed and I designed and hand draw and pen each of these works of art.
For now, please email me at lisa@OODAdesigns.com for your orders and tell me which kit you would like to purchase.
